The Stunning Main Port of Lombok

Lombok is an island in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. It forms part of the chain of the Lesser Sunda Islands, with the Lombok Strait separating it from Bali to the west and the Alas Strait between it and Sumbawa to the east.

Lombok International Airport is a new airport under construction on the island of Lombok in Indonesia. Lembar Harbour seaport in the southwest has shipping facilities and a ferry for road vehicles and passenger services.

Lombok's most important industry is tourism. The most developed area of tourism in Lombok is centered about the township of Senggigi. Approximately 1–5 kilometers offshore from the mainland lie the three highly popular Gili Islands. Mount Rinjani and Kuta in south Lombok are tourist destinations.

When eating and drinking in Lombok, make sure you try the local dish; ayam taliwang. Alcohol is expensive and being predominantly Muslim, some restaurants do not sell wine or beer. Water is not potable so please only drink bottled water.

Lombok has a climate that is tropical all year. The average temperature hovers around 25 degrees Celsius year-round.
